The application upssrv.exe normally appears on the screen every time you start your computer then disappears after a few seconds. It minimizes itself as a battery icon in the system taskbar. To bring back the program upssrv.exe up on the screen, simply click on the battery icon. It has an orange power button on the program menu used only for disabling or closing the application.
The program upssrv.exe is not necessary for the proper operation of the UPS device; however, your computer will not automatically shut down in case of power failure. It is equipped with a feature called "Sensitive to on line voltage", which detects quick changes that occur in the AC voltage. These changes are within the safe operating range of the unit. When these occur, the UPS switches to battery power to keep the voltage constant. This sensitivity feature can be turned off if it becomes disruptive with the unit beeping frequently.
