Windows Process Description:

The llsched.exe process, also called Quick Scheduler Component, is the primary component of LapLink Scheduler and has been branded as the Traveling Software. The llsced.exe program was developed by LapLink, Inc., a software company known as a global leader in PC connectivity.

Designed to run in the background and let LapLink events run unattended, the llsched.exe application can also be used to schedule other events, such as Windows programs. Originally intended for transferring data from one computer to another over serial and parallel cables, the llsched.exe program was later enhanced with Remote Control features giving you the power to access and operate another computer at a distance. The process llsched.exe can be connected in several ways depending upon the resources available on your PC such as connecting directly through a modem or network server, over the internet using LapLink Everywhere, by wireless devices like infrared or over CAPI 2.0 whenever ISDN version is available.

Once installed and after system reboot, the application llsched.exe puts an icon on the taskbar next to the clock. This icon looks like an alarm clock with red border that initializes the launching of the program LapLink Scheduler. If you don't want the application llsched.exe to load automatically, remove the registry keys HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/RunOnce from the system registry.

The llsched.exe file is commonly found in the subfolder of C:/Program Files/Common Files/LapLink Scheduler/. It commonly occupies 126976 bytes of disk space and uses 5033164 bytes of RAM resources when running on Windows XP. Other known file sizes of the file llsched.exe are 77824 bytes and 81920 bytes. The program llsched.exe has a visible window and normally loads as a stand-alone program when Windows starts.

The llsched.exe process is a non-essential to the Windows system, thus it can be uninstalled through the Add/Remove Programs tab of the Control Panel.
