The application iedoctor.exe is the main executable process of the software IE Doctor that kills pop-ups, repairs, tweaks and protects Internet Explorer from all malicious changes.
The program iedoctor.exe fully guards Internet Explorer's homepage, title, context menu, startups and toolbar. It automatically and intelligently blocks almost all annoying pop-up ads but never blocks the useful pop-up window. The iedoctor.exe application manages all running programs and terminates any program that runs maliciously. It also manages the auto-run startup programs, favorites and URLs. One of the most important features of the program iedoctor.exe is the Browser Integrated Toolbar, also called the IE Doctor Bar that allows you to manage some of its settings without leaving the browser window when surfing.
The iedoctor.exe application minimizes itself as a shortcut icon in the system taskbar after installation. Right click on this icon gives you several configurations such as Hide IE Doctor, Enable Pop-up Killer, Pop-up Block Mode, Auto Resize IE Window, Restore All Internet Options, and many more. A click on the icon opens the main menu of the program iedoctor.exe allowing you to change some of its settings such as the General Settings where you can fill the URL as the startup page, the IE Title, Outlook Title, Default Search Engine, Custom Search Engine, and the Auto Run IE Doctor on startup.
The Pop-Up Killer option of the program iedoctor.exe gives you three Block Mode, namely Lower Mode where most annoying pop-ups are be blocked; the Normal Mode, which is the default mode that kills any unwanted pop-ups; and the Strict Mode that blocks and kills any pop-up window including those that are useful and not generated by ads.
The iedoctor.exe file, commonly located in a subfolder of C:/Program Files/IE Doctor/, has a known file size of 339 KB or 347136 bytes on Windows XP. It is capable of recording data inputs and monitors other applications. The program iedoctor.exe has a visible window.
