The Intel Intercast Viewer which decodes the signal is launched by the executable file icserver.exe. Intercast data used Vertical Blanking Interval (VBI) to embed information in the video stream which carries the Intercast compatible program. Without the process icserver.exe, it would be impossible to decode the signal and the feature of watching a television broadcast in a window while viewing web pages on the other would be virtually impossible. Another functionality added by the process file icserver.exe is the ability of users to download transmitted softwares and applications.
