The developer of this file and the application housing it is Dell Computer Corporation. The purpose of the Dell Open Manage Client Instrumentation is for users to gain the capability of accessing client computers' through remotely managing application programs. The Dell Computer Open Manage Client Instrumentation permits the computer administrators of a client computer to access valuable administrator information and helps them to accurately monitor and track the computers' activities and programs. The iap.exe process specifically helps the computer administrators to monitor the status of a client computer, track the changes and activities being done, and change or alter the computer rights of a client computer all on a remote management basis. This is true even when the actual client computer is currently being used. The iap.exe process also allows the Dell Open Manage Client Instrumentation to shut down the client computer system if the administrator needs it to do so.
