The file eps.exe is associated with the program Aluria Pop-Stopper from Aluria Software, LLC. The process file eps.exe allows the application program Aluria Pop-Stopper to prevent unnecessary and annoying pop-up windows from opening when you are accessing the Internet. One of the most common problems of people who are surfing the Internet are pop-up windows which are usually advertisement of products or services of some sort. More importantly, some pop-up windows install some malicious programs in the computer without the knowledge of the user. The process eps.exe prevents the installation of such programs. Most frequently, spyware or adware programs begin installation with the opening of a pop-up window; the process eps.exe suppresses these pop-up thereby preventing harmful programs to infiltrate your computer.

The eps.exe file is installed on your computer in the directory folder C:/Program Files/ALURIA SOFTWARE/EPS/upon installation of the Aluria Security Center. The process eps.exe is automatically installed in the startup group of your system in order to allow immediate protection on boot up. The eps.exe process can also be run manually by the user if he deems it necessary. However, since the application package is designed to protect your system from malicious attacks from the Internet, it is highly recommended that the process eps.exe be allowed to load on startup. When your computer starts, the process eps.exe will display an icon on the system tray and will keep you protected from the background. The eps.exe file gives the user full control because the user can press and hold the shift key and click to allow the pop-up window to activate if he knows that it is safe to do so. The process eps.exe changes the icon on the taskbar to inform that user of possible pop-up windows that are trying to open.
