The process eabservr.exe is part of the Quick Launch Buttons 5.20 for HP Pavilion and Easy Access Buttons for Compaq laptops. The applications are developed by their corresponding manufacturers to aid in the functionality of extra keys in their respective computer models.
The file eabservr.exe, used by both Hewlett-Packard and Compaq, are located under a subfolder in C:/Program Files/(wherein HP stores the file eabservr.exe under the folder C:/Program Files/HPQ/Quick Launch Buttons/while Compaq is located under C:/Program Files/Compaq/EAB/). The file has a total size of 290KB and uses RAM and virtual memory resources of 120KB when active.
Once installed in the system, the process eabservr.exe is included in your startup group, and has a startup registry value "eabconfig.cpl" under the location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run/.
