Once installed in your system, the file is located under the location C:/Program Files/Express Assist/and will be included in your startup group which launches the application upon boot.

The process ea2check.exe is not an important system requirement and need not be included in your startup group. The process can be manually run under Programs in your Start Menu.

Express Assist 9 was developed to simplify file management of various Windows Functions. Its main objective is to simplify the backup process for emails using the platform Microsoft Outlook Express and Windows Mail for Vista. The backups are stored in a zip file which can be restored later in the same unit, or to another.

Since the process ea2check.exe is not required to run at startup, you may disable the said process by using WinTask or MsConfig. Removing the file can be done by using the Add/Remove Programs applet in your Control Panel.
