Windows Process Description:

The process dragndrop.exe is bundled with the Drag n' Drop CD+DVD software usually included in Toshiba laptops. The author for this software is currently not known but Toshiba includes the software in their laptop products.

The dragndrop.exe was made specifically to cater to Toshiba laptops. Like most CD/DVD burning software, the process dragndrop.exe calls upon various DLLs associated with the Toshiba CD/DVD-RW device.

Once installed in the system, the process dragndrop.exe will be installed under the location C:/Program Files/Drag'n Drop CD+DVD/binfiles/and is included in the startup registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run/and can be manually executed under Programs in Start Menu.

The dragndrop.exe process takes up at least 1.2MB of physical memory on your Hard Disk space and takes up a low memory usage of 34278 bytes but will zoom up to 100-500MB when the actual writing process begins.

Once the file dragndrop.exe is executed, it will place three icons on the lower right portion of the desktop which includes "Music", "DISC Backup", and "Data". To include files to be burned onto the disk, just drag and drop the files on the corresponding icons of your choice. This will automatically add the file into the process database to be burned on to the disc once the compilation is finished.

To open the main window of the process, right-click on the Drag n' Drop CD Box and choose Edit Layout. This will bring out the interface of the dragndrop.exe process. The window has an interface similar to the Windows Explorer interface, making it easy for you to browse your files that you want to be included in your CD. The window also includes the total size of all the files you wish to be added on to the CD/DVD. Once all preparations are complete, you can just click the Start Recording button on top of the window.

A note regarding the process of burning, it is also a must to close all other applications that are currently running on the system to reduce the chances of errors that will take place during the burning process.

Since the dragndrop.exe process is not a required component for your system. You can simple disable the process on startup using WInTask or MsConfig, or you can easily uninstall the application using the Add/Remove Program applet in Control Panel.
