The cagent.exe file is a part of the ABBYY Community Agent process. The cagent.exe process belongs to the software ABBYY FineReader 5.0 Pro or ABBYY FineReader 5.0 Sprint or Sprint & FineReader by ABBYY.

The cagent.exe file is not an essential system program. The user does need to manually install the cagent.exe process for it to be present in the system. It now has a results-driven interface with an easy to use functionality. It provides fast, secure and accurate conversion of document images to PDF files. The user can also configure the Abbyy Fine Reader to export converted images to a variety of text applications.

The Abbyy Fine Reader OCR was developed by the Abbyy Software House. The Abbyy Software House also developed the Abbyy PDT Transformer, the ScanTo Office, Lingvo and FlexiCapture.
